About ICMG Kilmore
ICMG Kilmore carries this mission forward in Kilmore, Victoria, the next chapter of a 30-year-old Australian community, InshaAllah.
Who is ICMG?
Islamic Community Millî Görüş (ICMG) is an Australian Islamic community organisation operating mosques and community centres across the country, with national administration in Melbourne. ICMG Kilmore is the VIC presence of that community, serving Kilmore and its surrounds.
You can read more about the wider network at icmg.org.au. Property assets associated with the community are held by the Australian Muslims Assets Foundation (AMAF), a registered Australian charity.
The site
The building we are working to acquire is a bluestone former Wesleyan Methodist church on Powlett Street, built in 1858 during the Victorian gold rush and standing for more than 165 years. Heritage-listed and in need of careful restoration, by Allah's permission it will continue as a place of worship in a new chapter, the home of the Kilmore Islamic and Community Centre, InshaAllah.
What we stand for
Our masjid is a place of worship, learning, and belonging, open to all. From the five daily prayers and Jummah to Quran classes, youth programs, and community support, we aim to serve everyone who walks through our doors, and to be a good neighbour to the wider community.
